Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Radiology unit. You will provide professional nursing care before, during, and after diagnostic imaging procedures, and may assume charge nurse responsibilities as assigned.
The role requires critical thinking, empathy, and strong collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. Ideal candidates hold an Associate Degree in Nursing with NC RN licensure (or compact state).

Radiology Nurses operate an 8-bay prep and recovery unit providing direct patient care before, during, and after diagnostic imaging and interventional radiology procedures. Our department provides care for adult, geriatric and pediatric populations. Outpatient pediatric services are currently limited to MRI sedations and managed by a Pediatric Intensivist and 2 PALS certified Radiology Nurses. Adult/ Geriatric Patient ratio 1:2; Pediatric Patient ratio 1:1. Our Care Team consists of Radiologists, Pediatric Intensivists, Physician Assistants, Advanced Practice Registered Nurses, Registered Nurses, Nursing Supervisor, Technologists, Access Coordinators and Unit Manager. Self-directed scheduling; Weekend & Holiday Call Rotation 7 am- 7 p.m.
Work Experience: Greater than one year of experience in ICU, Med-Surg, critical care, or emergency department is required. One year -or greater- of Radiology experience preferred.
This role requires a high level of empathy, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team. Candidates must possess strong critical thinking, clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, high attention to detail, and autonomy AC/LS, BLS required; PALS preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking the English language Demonstrates positive interpersonal skills Verbal and written skills required Demonstrates effective organizational and leadership skills Has knowledge of the age-specific physiological and psychosocial, developmental and spiritual needs of the patients typically served.
Physical Requirements: Speech and auditory acuity for communication of patient needs Visual acuity for observation of patients Much standing, walking, bending, and lifting May involve skin, eye, mucous membrane, or parenteral contact with blood or other potentially infectious material Must be able to lift 35 pounds. Required Licenses and Certifications BLS - American Heart Association, RN - Board Of Nursing.
