Owensboro Health’s Pulmonary department seeks a registered nurse to provide direct patient care within established policies and protocols. The role coordinates multidisciplinary care, monitors patient conditions, and communicates status to the care team.

Weekend Requirements: Every | Work Hours: 7a-730 pm | Status: Full Time - 0.9 FTE (72 hours per pay period) | Entity: Owensboro Health Regional Hospital | Department: PulmonaryJob Summary:Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.Job Responsibilities:Performs functions related to problem definition, data collection, interpretation and analysis,Implements and monitors patient care plans.Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with patient/family and members of the healthcare team.Assesses learning needs of patient and family and provides education based on age, culture, and willingness to learn.Performs job duties in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act.Skills and Attributes:Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment.Works under general supervision.Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.Applies more advanced skills and knowledge in the area of specialization.Position Requirements:Work ExperienceNo experience requiredEducationAssociate's degree or higher or Diploma in Nursing required upon hire ANDBachelor's degree or higher in Nursing required within 5 years of employment in this positionAdditional Education InformationNoneLicensure/Certification/RegistrationRN - Licensed as a Registered Nurse.
