Responsibilities

Position: Registered Nurse (RN)

Shift: Day Shift, 7AM - 7:30PM

Schedule: Weekends every other rotating, holidays assigned

Responsibilities include:

• Treating patients, educating about mental and medical conditions, and providing emotional support
• Running therapeutic groups, psychiatric crisis intervention, seclusion and restraint of patients
• Recording patients’ medical histories and symptoms
• Helping perform diagnostic tests and analyze results
• Operating medical machinery, administering treatments and medications
• Assisting with patient follow-up and rehabilitation
• Teaching patients and families about managing illness, diet, exercise, medication, and physical therapy
• Performing other related duties

Qualifications

Education, Experience, and Training:

• Current and valid State license as a Registered Nurse
• Current BLS certification upon hire and maintained
• Knowledge of Mental Health Laws and practice standards
• Understanding of interdisciplinary treatment team processes
• Knowledge of behavioral health programming and nursing functions for inpatient and outpatient units
• Familiarity with the continuum of care for behavioral health

Compensation & Benefits

Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital offers competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package, including paid time off, 401K, medical/dental/vision coverage, tuition reimbursement, and voluntary benefits. Estimated total compensation ranges from $35.35 to $47.58 per hour, based on experience, skills, education, credentials, and licensure. The exact offer will be determined at hire.
