Qualifications

  • Minimum 18 months PCU RN experience required.
  • BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications needed.
  • Experience with traches, cardiac gtt, and wound care.

Responsibilities

  • Providing care for patients with various conditions (CHF, Dysrhythmia, etc.).
  • Monitoring telemetry both bedside and at the nurses' station.
  • Floating to different facilities within region as needed.

  • Beds: 32
  • Minimum Years of Experience required? 18 months PCU RN experience
  • Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes
  • Could see any patient not requiring mechanical ventilation – CHF, Dysrhythmia, Chest Pain work up, Stroke, Abdominal illnesses and infections, Respiratory illness, Diabetes, AKI/CKD, ETOH withdrawal, IVDA, etc.
  • RN: 1:4 is most common; could possibly go to 1:5 depending on acuity
  • Required Licensure & Certifications:
  • BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
  • Skills required:
  • Experience with traches, cardiac gtt experience, cardiac rhythm interpretation, chest tubes, blood products, wound care/dressing changes, management of central lines
  • Support within the Department:
  • CNA - ADL’s
  • Receptionist/HUC? Dayshift only
  • Charge nurse – Resource to assist with all nursing care
  • Phlebotomy? Yes, other than nurse draws

  • Holiday Expectations: Travelers will work 75% of holidays
  • RTO: Can approve up to 6 days off, excluding holidays – must add time to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours
  • Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks
