Qualifications

Minimum 18 months PCU RN experience required.
BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications needed.
Experience with traches, cardiac gtt, and wound care.

Responsibilities

Providing care for patients with various conditions (CHF, Dysrhythmia, etc.).
Monitoring telemetry both bedside and at the nurses' station.
Floating to different facilities within region as needed.

Skills

Beds: 32
Minimum Years of Experience required? 18 months PCU RN experience
Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes
Could see any patient not requiring mechanical ventilation – CHF, Dysrhythmia, Chest Pain work up, Stroke, Abdominal illnesses and infections, Respiratory illness, Diabetes, AKI/CKD, ETOH withdrawal, IVDA, etc.
RN: 1:4 is most common; could possibly go to 1:5 depending on acuity
Required Licensure & Certifications:
BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
Skills required:
Experience with traches, cardiac gtt experience, cardiac rhythm interpretation, chest tubes, blood products, wound care/dressing changes, management of central lines
Support within the Department:
CNA - ADL’s
Receptionist/HUC? Dayshift only
Charge nurse – Resource to assist with all nursing care
Phlebotomy? Yes, other than nurse draws
IV/VAT Team
RT, 24/7
Hospitalist, 24/7
Intensivist, 24/7
Telemetry monitoring – bedside and nurses station
Technology/Equipment:
EMR: EPIC
IV Pump: Alaris
Monitors: Phillips
Floating:
Within region and scope of practice
Will be required to float per region needs – will require floating to all facilities listed below, as needed, within scope of practice – DECLINE if not agreeable

Region 3 - Cleveland, Kings Mtn, Lincoln, Central Division (CMC Main + Mercy + LCH)

Holiday Expectations: Travelers will work 75% of holidays
RTO: Can approve up to 6 days off, excluding holidays – must add time to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours
Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks

If floating mid-shift, Traveler will be paid for the time traveling between facilities (will remain on the clock)
