Job summary

Cooper University Health Care is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team in South Jersey. The RN will provide professional nursing care to a group of patients within a multidisciplinary health care team, following the nursing process and utilizing therapeutic self-care approaches.

Ideal candidates will be graduates of NLN-accredited nursing programs, hold a valid NJ RN license and NJ-BLS certification. Some specialties may require ACLS, NALS or PALS certifications as applicable.

Overview

Pavilion 8, an Intermediate surgical and medical surgical unit with 30 single rooms and the capacity to be a complete intermediate unit, is genuinely committed to providing extraordinary patient care. Our surgical services include ENT, Vascular, Plastic Surgery, Colorectal Surgery, Surgical oncology, and Urology. Our leadership structure, comprised of a clinical director, an assistant clinical director, clinical nurse managers, and a clinical educator, is dedicated to supporting our staff and patient safety.

Pavilion 8 is supported by our unit secretaries, critical care technicians, and registered nurses seven days a week. We work towards having all of our nurses' cross-trained in surgical intermediate within the first year at Cooper. Pavilion-8 fosters a close relationship with our providers, as our APN's and Surgical Residents are easily accessible for support, questions, and directions with patient care. They have offices right here on the unit, along with our leadership team and our transitional care team.

Education Requirements

Graduate of NLN accredited School of Nursing.

License/Certification Requirements

• Current NJ-RN License (Registered Nurse).
• Current NJ-BLS Certification (Basic Life Support).
• Certain specialties may require advanced certification (i.e. ACLS, NALS, PALS).
