REQUIREMENTS

Registered Nurse, PCU
Experience: 1 year 6 months
Licenses: RN (Compact Accepted)
Certifications: BLS-AHA; ACLS-AHA
This unit operates like an ICU but is considered an advanced PCU at Emory due to ratios. They accept 24-hour post-CABG cardiac surgery patients with chest tubes. No vents are used; LVADs are present, and the hospital offers related courses. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4 or 1:5.
