Job summary

Dallas Center United Methodist is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide highly professional nursing care overnight at Methodist Dallas Medical Center in Dallas, TX. You will perform direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process, collaborate with the care team, and support patient and family education while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification.
• Current license to practice nursing in Texas or eligibility to do so.
• Six months RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital standards by using communication, interpersonal relationships and teamwork.
• Assumes responsibility for the nursing components of the patient/family education process.
• Communicates with the team, patients and families and evaluates understanding.
• Maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, staff and facility.
• Ensures accurate and timely written communication of patient information.
• Delivers medication and IV administration safely and timely.
• Shows personal responsibility for performance and professional growth.
• Uses the nursing process to ensure quality patient care throughout the episode of care.
• Other duties as assigned.

Utilizes the nursing process to ensure quality patient care is provided throughout the episode of care.
