Job summary

Advanced Correctional Healthcare is seeking a licensed RN to deliver comprehensive nursing care within a correctional facility. You will administer prescribed medications, monitor patient status, and coordinate care with practitioners across shifts.

The role requires BLS, strong documentation, adherence to HIPAA, and the ability to educate patients on policy and discharge planning while maintaining infection control and safe practices.

Qualifications

• Active nursing license in the state of practice.
• Excellent documentation skills.
• Knowledge of the RN scope of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; hands-on training.

Responsibilities

• Timely and accurate administration of medications and treatments.
• Assess, plan, and deliver nursing care to patients.
• Triage intake screenings for necessity and priority at sick calls.
• Record data for CQI and outcome studies; maintain HIPAA practices.
• Educate patients on facility policies and discharge planning.
• Maintain infection control and aseptic techniques; ensure safety.
• Coordinate medical services per practitioner orders; delegate as needed.
• Document care concisely and completely; support confidentiality.
