Mercy Hospital South seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) in Orthopedics to deliver comprehensive patient care using the nursing process in a busy orthopedic unit. The role supports collaborative care, protects patient rights and confidentiality, and aligns with Mercy’s mission and standards.

The position is PRN with day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, requiring an active Missouri RN license or compact licensure and BLS certification within 30 days of hire. Hospital experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate, Diploma, or BSN).
• Current RN license in Missouri or valid compact licensure.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Previous hospital experience preferred.

Position Details

Schedule: PRN

Shift: Day Shift, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate, Diploma, or BSN)
• Current RN license in Missouri or valid compact licensure
• Previous hospital experience preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN degree
• Additional licensure or certifications
• Experience in specialty areas or similar clinical settings

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly
• Prolonged standing and walking
• Ability to reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed
