Job summary

Medcor is seeking Registered Nurses to work PRN at our occupational health clinic in Universal City, CA. The role involves day/evening shifts and a pay rate of $58.85 per hour. This is not a full-time position; it is PRN/coverage.

Responsibilities include triage, emergency response, and workplace care, with emphasis on minor and major incidents. Ideal candidates have at least two years in Occupational Health or related settings and strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Valid unrestricted California RN license.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• At least 2 years of field experience in Occupational Health, Emergency Department, Urgent Care, or similar.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and EMR documentation.
• Strong prioritization and multitasking abilities.

• Participate in daily operations at the client site, including triage, emergency response and treatment per Medcor protocols.
• Treat injuries and illnesses per evidence-based protocols.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide triage.
• Administer screening and testing.
• Collaborate with Environmental, Health, and Safety departments.
• Provide wellness education to employees and contractors.
• Document care using EMR.
• Assist with clinic operations including clerical tasks, IT, supplies and equipment maintenance.
• Support Workers’ Compensation process and OSHA record-keeping.

Medcor is looking for Registered Nurses to work on a PRN basis (as-needed) at our occupational health clinic located in Universal City, CA. We are looking for nurses who have flexibility to work a combination of day and evening shifts. The pay rate is $58.85/ hr.

THIS IS NOT A FULL TIME JOB. IT IS PRN/COVERAGE

Job duties include participation in all aspects of Medcor’s daily operations at our clients’ place of business by performing duties related to Workplace incident triage, emergency response, and treatment for employees, contractors and guests according to the Medcor Care Protocols. Experience in the treatment of minor illness and injuries as well as major trauma and medical emergency management is required.

***Successful candidates will possess solid clinical skills, have at least two years' experience in Occupational Health, Emergency Department, Urgent Care or applicable experience.***

A typical day in the life of a Medcor Nurse:

• Collaborate with a team that provides customer service to Medcor’s client and employees
• Treat injuries and illnesses according to Medcor’s evidence-based medicine protocols
• Respond to medical emergencies
• Administer screening and testing
• Work closely with the Environmental, Health, and Safety department
• Provide wellness education
• Document utilizing an electronic medical record
• Assisting with daily clinic operations including clerical, IT, medical supply management, and medical equipment maintenance
• Assisting with Workers’ Compensation claim initiation (FYI – not case management) and OSHA record-keeping

You Must

• Have valid unrestricted California RN license and current CPR/BLS certification
• Have a positive and outgoing personality
• Be good at prioritizing and multitasking
• Be willing to go above and beyond to give excellent customer service
• Love people and giving them the best care humanly possible

You Should

• Be comfortable working alone or independently in a clinic environment
• Have a minimum of 2 years field experience
• Be able to follow processes and procedures with excellence
• Be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and documenting using an EMR
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
