Job summary

Medcor is hiring an EMT, Paramedic, or LVN as an Onsite Health Technician in Rialto, CA. This PRN (as-needed) role supports a 24/7 on-site occupational health clinic, providing first aid, triage, and treatment for workplace injuries and illnesses.

The position offers flexible shifts with no guaranteed hours, requiring licensure and CPR/BLS, and opportunities to collaborate with client stakeholders and outside providers. Training and support are provided.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Provide first aid, triage, assessment, and treatment for workplace injuries and illnesses
• Evaluate injured employees and guide care using Medcor's evidence-based treatment protocols
• Respond to workplace medical situations and coordinate additional care when appropriate
• Assist with Return-to-Work (RTW) programs and treatment plan monitoring
• Coordinate care with outside medical providers, urgent care centers, and hospitals when needed
• Perform pre-employment and post-offer screenings

Medcor is looking to hire an EMT, Paramedic, or LVN on a PRN (as-needed) basis to serve as an Onsite Health Technician in our employer-based occupational health clinic in Rialto, CA.

This is a great opportunity for a healthcare professional who wants to use their clinical skills in a worksite setting while maintaining the flexibility of a PRN schedule.

Please note: This is a PRN/as-needed position, not a full-time position, and there are no guaranteed hours. The clinic operates 24/7, and shifts are available based on coverage needs. If you have flexibility to pick up occasional shifts, we encourage you to apply.

In this role, you'll provide first aid, triage, and treatment for workplace injuries and illnesses while supporting employee health and wellness. You'll also work closely with Medcor leadership, client stakeholders, and outside medical providers to help employees receive appropriate care and safely return to work.

A Typical Day in the Life of a Medcor Onsite Health Technician

• Provide first aid, triage, assessment, and treatment for workplace injuries and illnesses
• Evaluate injured employees and guide care using Medcor's evidence-based treatment protocols
• Respond to workplace medical situations and coordinate additional care when appropriate
• Assist with Return-to-Work (RTW) programs and treatment plan monitoring
• Coordinate care with outside medical providers, urgent care centers, and hospitals when needed
• Perform pre-employment and post-offer screenings
• Conduct Physical Assessment Testing (PATs)
• Support employee health and wellness initiatives

Clinic Operations

• Support daily operations of Medcor's onsite occupational health clinic
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and charting using electronic medical records
• Support OSHA recordkeeping and other required documentation
• Provide exceptional customer service to employees and client stakeholdersBuild and maintain strong relationships with employees, client partners, and the Medcor team
• Follow established clinical, operational, and compliance processes
• Complete general clinic responsibilities as needed

What You'll Need

• Current EMT, Paramedic, or LVN certification/licensure applicable to the position
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Ability to work independently with strong time-management and organizational skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Comfortable using computers, electronic medical records, and other technology
• Ability to lift a 50-pound emergency response bag
• A positive, professional, and patient-focused approach
• Availability to pick up occasional PRN shifts

It's a Plus If You Have

• Occupational health or worksite clinic experience
• Workers' compensation or case management experience
• Experience working independently in a clinical environment
• Flexible availability for day, evening, overnight, or weekend coverage
