Amedisys, part of the Optum family, is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse to coordinate and oversee patients' home care in Brent, Alabama. You will collaborate with care teams, assess patients, educate families, and ensure timely documentation while supporting care plans tailored to each patient.

Responsibilities include performing head-to-toe assessments, vital signs, medications, injections, IV therapy, catheters, and supervising LPNs and HHAs.

Qualificações

• 1+ year of clinical RN experience.
• Current RN license for applicable state(s).
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

As a PRN Registered Nurse, you will coordinate and oversee patients' home care while collaborating with care teams to develop and implement individualized care plans. You will assess patients, provide skilled nursing care, educate families, maintain timely documentation, and communicate progress to the clinical manager, physician, and care team.

Primary Responsibilities

• Coordinates and oversees all aspects of patients' home care.
• Collaborates with patient care teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Educates families on patient condition, needs and care.
• Performs head to toe physical assessments.
• Checks vital signs and manages medications.
• Gives injections, IV therapy or tube feedings.
• Administers and maintains catheters.
• Completes documentation timely and accurately.
• Supervises LPNs and HHAs.
• Regularly communicates patient progress to the clinical manager, physician and care team.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• One (1+) year of clinical experience as a registered nurse (RN). If less than 1 year clinical experience as an RN, candidate must be approved by VP of clinical. *
• Current RN license, specific to the state(s) you are assigned to work.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and liability insurance.
• *Note - If less than 6 months clinical experience as a RN, candidate must participate in RN Intern program.

$71,677 - $107,516 annual total cash target pay
$41.35 - $62.03 per visit point
$34.46 - $51.69 hourly rate

Annual total cash compensation for this role assumes full-time employment (40 weekly hours) at full productivity and generally follows the range above. Total cash compensation includes earnings from per visit point pay and hourly pay and is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience and may increase over time based on productivity and performance in the role. This role receives two types of compensation depending on the work being performed. When conducting visits, you will be paid per visit point rate compensation. Your per visit pay will be calculated by multiplying your per visit point rate by the productivity points you accrue for various types of visits. Each type of visit is assigned a certain number of productivity points that is inclusive of 'direct' and 'indirect' patient care activities. Visits are assigned based on patient and business needs. The number of visits performed each week will vary based on individual productivity targets and the productivity points assigned to the visits performed. You will be paid your hourly rate for certain non-visit activities such as orientation. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
