Grady Health System in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Registered Nurse - PRN to deliver safe, age-appropriate care across units. You will educate patients, coordinate care, and advocate for families while using the nursing process to plan and evaluate outcomes.

This role requires GA RN license, ASN or higher, BLS, and two years of clinical nursing; weekend and holiday coverage is required with flexible shifts (8/12/10 hours depending on clinic).

Qualifications

  • Current Georgia License as a Registered Professional Nurse.
  • Associates Degree in Nursing required.
  • Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • 24 months of experience is required.
  • Two (2) years of clinical nursing experience is required.
  • PRN staff are required to work a minimum of 4 shifts per schedule, yet hours are based on the needs of the unit(s) and are not guaranteed.
  • PRN staff may sign up in advance based on the needs of their home unit or other units within the department and may also be called when needs arise.
  • PRN staff must be flexible with regard to floating to other areas within the department as needed.
  • PRN/Pool minimum requirement is four 12 hour shifts per 4 week schedule or four clinic (outpatient) shifts per 4 week schedule.
  • Depending on the clinic, the shift is either 8 hours or 10 hours.

The Registered Nurse Pool utilizes the nursing process which includes the components of assessment, nurse diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning and coordination, implementation, and evaluation. The role of the Registered Nurse Pool also includes, patient advocacy, teaching, performance improvement, leadership and professional development.
