Job summary

A-Line Staffing is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Primary Care Clinic in Massachusetts. The position is 35 hours per week, typically 3 or 4 days, with every other weekend and hours from 8:30am to 7:30pm (Sat 9-5:30, Sun 9-4:30).

Assignments are six months with potential extensions or conversion to permanent roles. The pay rate is $58.80 per hour and benefits are provided to full-time staff, plus a 401(k) with company match.

Qualifications

• Active RN license required.
• Experience in Primary Care, Urgent Care, Family or Internal Medicine, Outpatient Clinics, or Emergency Room is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer vaccinations, injections, and medications (oral, IV, injectable, topical).
• Obtain, monitor, and document vital signs (BP, HR, RR, temp).
• Perform routine and complex patient assessments and monitor pain levels.
• Provide emergency care in collaboration with on-site provider.
• Conduct medication reviews for side effects, contraindications, interactions.
• Perform mental health screenings for depression, mood, behavior, cognition.
• Document patient histories, medications, allergies, surgeries in EHR.
• Educate patients on medications, treatments, self-care, disease management.
• Coordinate patient access to healthcare services and community resources.
• Communicate with patients, families, providers, and team members.
• Handle patient registration, intake, checkout, scheduling, reminders/outreach calls.
• Assist with patient flow and waiting room management.
• Serve as chaperone during examinations while maintaining privacy.
• Prepare and maintain examination rooms and clinic spaces.
• Support team with additional clinical and administrative duties.

Hours 35 hours per week 3 or 4 days per week + every other weekend Business Hours - Monday - Friday 8:30am-7:30pm, Saturday 9AM - 5:30PM, Sunday 9AM - 4:30PM.

Assignments are expected to last six months; Opportunities for extension and conversion to permanent employment may be available, but not guaranteed.

The pay for this position is $58.80 an hour.

Responsibilities

• Administer vaccinations, injections, and oral, intravenous, injectable, and topical medications.
• Obtain, monitor, and accurately document vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, and temperature.
• Perform routine and complex patient assessments, monitor pain levels, identify abnormalities, and document treatment responses.
• Provide emergency care in collaboration with the on-site provider during emergent situations.
• Conduct medication reviews to identify potential side effects, contraindications, and drug interactions.
• Perform mental health screenings to assess depression, mood, behavior, and cognitive function.
• Accurately document patient medical histories, medications, allergies, surgeries, family history, and treatment information in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Provide patient education regarding medications, treatments, self-care, and disease management.
• Coordinate patient access to healthcare services and connect patients with appropriate community resources.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, healthcare providers, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Perform patient registration, intake, checkout, appointment scheduling, and reminder/outreach calls.
• Assist with patient flow and waiting room management to promote an efficient and positive patient experience.
• Serve as a chaperone during sensitive examinations while maintaining patient privacy, comfort, and dignity.
• Prepare and maintain examination rooms, clinic areas, and waiting spaces in a clean, organized, welcoming, and well-stocked condition.
• Support the healthcare team with additional clinical and administrative duties as needed.
