PRN Pre-Op/PACU Registered Nurse

Bon Secours Surgery Center at Harbour View is seeking a PRN Pre-Op PACU Registered Nurse. We are a busy multispecialty surgery center serving Northern Suffolk and an affiliate of United Surgical Partners International (USPI). USPI’s mission is to care for each patient and their family as if they were our own. Each patient, each family, each and every time.

The Registered Nurse is responsible for all departmental functions in support of USPI’s mission, vision, and facility goals. This position establishes effective working relationships with all constituencies including patients, physicians, employees, volunteers, and vendors. The Registered Nurse works with Senior Management in meeting safety, quality, customer service, and financial goals.

Qualifications include:

  • Graduate of a professional school of Nursing – BSN preferred
  • Current license as a VA Registered Nurse
  • BLS required, Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days
  • 2 years’ ambulatory experience preferred
  • Good command of English, verbal and written
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn

  • Advocate of patient safety and quality of care
  • Leadership and support in developing effective relationships with staff and medical personnel
