Job summary

OrthoAtlanta is seeking a Registered Nurse for Preop/PACU in Georgia to assess preoperative patients, monitor recovery, and document findings in the EMR.

You will collaborate with surgeons and anesthesia teams to deliver safe, efficient surgical experiences, applying ACLS/BLS and strong clinical judgment.

The role emphasizes patient safety, precise documentation, and clear communication with patients and families.

Qualifications

• BSN degree required.
• Current RN licensure in GA or compact state.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
• 2 years RN Preop/PACU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor preoperative patients and obtain vitals.
• Monitor PACU patients, manage pain, and address complications.
• Document assessments and outcomes in the EMR.
• Coordinate care with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and staff to ensure seamless care.
• Use clinical judgment and facility protocols to address changes in patient condition.

What You’ll Do

As a Registered Nurse – Preop/PACU at OrthoAtlanta, you’ll:

• Assess and monitor preoperative patients, obtain vital signs, review medical history, and ensure informed consent is complete
• Monitor patients recovering from anesthesia, manage pain, and address any complications to ensure safe and comfortable recovery
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in a timely and accurate manner within the EMR
• Work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other staff to coordinate patient care and ensure a seamless surgical experience
• Recognize and act on changes in patient condition, using independent clinical judgment and facility protocols to guide decisions

What You’ll Need

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN)
