Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Surgicare Centennial is hiring a Registered Nurse Preop/Pacu. This role requires weekdays only with no holidays, weekends, nights, or on-call duties, offering a stable schedule in a busy surgical center.

The PreOp/PACU RN delivers continuous care across perioperative phases, including anesthesia recovery, safety, patient comfort, and family communication, while collaborating with surgeons and staff to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition and ensuring safety, comfort and privacy.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks including conscious sedation and sterile techniques as deemed appropriate.
• Provide comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for discharge preparation.

Registered Nurse Preop/Pacu at Baylor Scott & White Surgicare Centennial:
