Qualifications

• Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing or NLN approved program.
• 6 months of prior experience as a Registered Nurse, or prior experience as a Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse in outpatient/ambulatory clinic setting.
• Current Registered Nurse License active in the state of Missouri.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement nursing care plans.
• Administer nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients.
• Give telephone advice to patients on health concerns and disease prevention under provider direction.
• Schedule appointments, manage medical records requests, and handle prior authorizations and referrals.
• Take and record vital signs and medical histories, prepare patients for examination, collect lab samples, and perform tests.

Job Description:

A Clinic Registered Nurse develops and implement nursing care plans. Administer nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients. Give telephone advice to patients on health concerns and disease prevention under the direction of providers. Administrative duties may include scheduling appointments, sending and requesting medical records, and completing prior authorizations and referral requests. Clinical duties may include taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, collecting laboratory samples and performing tests, administering medications and immunizations.

Education

• Required: Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing or NLN approved program

Experience

• Required: 6 months of prior experience as a Registered Nurse, or prior experience as a Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse in an outpatient or ambulatory clinic setting
