Job summary

Indiana University Health in Bloomington, IN is seeking a Registered Nurse for Pre-Post/ ORU coverage. This overnight role (6:00pm–6:30am) supports postoperative and endoscopy procedures, with a 2–12 hr shift pattern, Monday through Thursday. 1+ year RN experience and active Indiana RN license required; ASN/BSN preferred.

  • 1+ years of clinical RN experience.

Responsibilities

  • Care for patients before and after surgery, endoscopies and other procedures requiring anesthesia.
  • Overnight recovery on Pre-post/ ORU team; 2–12 hr shifts, M–Th, 6:00pm–6:30am.
  • Assist with post-procedural recovery in a fast-paced environment.
  • Referral eligible position; support collaboration with IU Health team.

Job Description

Shift: This position is for overnight recovery with the Pre-post/ ORU Team. It is 2-12 hrs shifts, M-TH, 6pm- 630am. No holidays, no weekends. Providing extended care recovery to post procedural/ surgical OPIB patients.

Part and Full-time roles are eligible for a $30,000 sign-on bonus

This position requires 1+ years of clinical RN experience.

Qualifications
  • Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
  • Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
    • Exceptions: Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).
  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.

Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
