Job summary

Carolina Center for Specialty Surgery (CCSS) in mid-town Charlotte is seeking a Full-Time Pre-Op/PACU RN to join our team. The role supports surgical patients from admission through recovery, ensuring safety and comfort and coordinating care with physicians and staff.

Qualified candidates will have NC RN license, at least 2 years hospital or recovery experience, strong communication, and proven charting skills.

Responsibilities

• Improves patient care by respecting patient rights and ethical conduct.
• Determines care required and skills to meet initial needs and changes with care/disease progression.
• Participates in continuous quality improvement to improve outcomes and facility efficiency.
• Maintains clinical/professional competency for patients' age/health/mental status.
• Obtains, manages and uses patient data to improve outcomes and facility performance.
• Follows HIPAA and facility privacy guidelines.

Experience And Skills

• Ideal candidates will have at least 2 years of hospital or recovery experience.
• Requires excellent communication skills with patients, physicians and staff, strong decision-making skills and is a self-starter who can work effectively in a team environment.
• Excellent time management, problem-solving, multi-tasking and prioritizing are critical skills that all candidates must have.
• Experience with electronic charting.
• Always works toward an excellent patient experience.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Improves patient care by respecting each patient’s rights and conducting business relationships with patients and the public in an ethical manner.
• Determines care required and skills needed to meet a patient’s initial needs as well as how they change in response to care and/or disease process. Demonstrates the ability to identify and respond to emergency situations.
• Participates in continuous quality improvement efforts to improve patient health outcomes and facility efficiency.
• Maintains clinical and professional competency as appropriate for the age, health and mental status of patients served.
• Obtains, manages and uses patient-specific data and information to improve patient outcomes and individual and facility performance in patient care and support processes.
• Follows all HIPAA and facility guidelines related to privacy policies, procedures and protocols.
