Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) PRE-OP/PACU Full Time provides quality patient care using the nursing process, the medical plan of care, and organizational policies. The RN Pre-op/PACU offers safe, effective, and patient-family-centered care in perioperative services for all patient populations. The RN supports the mission, vision, and values of the organization and reports to the Manager of Peri-Operative Services.

Work Schedule and Benefits:

• Hourly Wage Range: $58 to $63, depending on experience
• Monday-Friday work schedule
• No call, nights, weekends, or holiday work hours
• Free Parking

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current CA Nursing License
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Minimum of 2 years experience in Pre-Op/PACU; previous ambulatory surgical setting experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of surgical patients
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation
• Ability to care for patients from infancy to geriatrics
• Problem-solving skills and ability to recognize and correct errors quickly
• Excellent teaching, communication, and organizational skills
• Professional and ethical behavior
• Ability to work effectively with patients, physicians, and staff (teamwork)
• Strong customer service skills
• Adaptability, creativity, and receptiveness to change
• Basic knowledge of Performance Improvement principles
