Job summary

Symphony Care Alliance seeks a PRN Pre-Operative/Post-Operative Nurse in Florida to provide safe and compassionate perioperative care in an ambulatory surgery center. The role includes patient preparation, pre-operative assessment, post-anesthesia recovery, and discharge education within a collaborative surgical team environment.

The ideal candidate will hold an active Florida RN license, have relevant pre/post-operative experience, and be BLS certified, with ACLS as required by policy.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Florida RN license.
• Experience in pre-operative, post-operative, PACU, ambulatory surgery, or acute care nursing preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required when applicable to role and facility policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care before and after surgical procedures in an ambulatory surgery center.
• Assist with patient preparation, pre-operative assessments, and post-anesthesia recovery.
• Deliver discharge education and coordinate care with surgical team and anesthesia providers.
• Maintain compliance with facility policies, regulatory requirements, and nursing standards.
• Collaborate with surgeons and staff to ensure smooth perioperative flow.

Job description

The PRN Pre-Operative/Post-Operative Nurse is responsible for providing safe, compassionate, and efficient nursing care to patients before and after surgical procedures in an ambulatory surgery center. This position assists with patient preparation, pre-operative assessments, post-anesthesia recovery, discharge education, and coordination of care while maintaining compliance with facility policies, regulatory requirements, and applicable nursing standards.

The ideal candidate is dependable, flexible, patient-focused, and able to work collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the surgical team.

• -Current, unrestricted Florida Registered Nurse (RN)
• -Previous experience in pre-operative, post-operative, PACU, ambulatory surgery, or acute care nursing preferred
• -Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• -Advanced life support certification, such as ACLS, required when applicable to the role and facility policy.
