Job summary

Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for Pre-Admission Testing (PRN-Days) in Washington, DC. The role focuses on comprehensive pre-operative assessments, reviewing medical histories, and coordinating diagnostic testing to ensure patients are fully prepared for surgery.

The ideal candidate will have DC RN licensure and BSN preferred, with at least 2 years in pre-admission testing or perioperative nursing.

Qualifications

• DC RN License required or eligible for licensure in DC.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in pre-admission testing, perioperative nursing or related field.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive pre-operative assessments for patients scheduled for surgery.
• Evaluate medical histories, perform physical examinations and coordinate necessary diagnostic tests.
• Provide education and support to patients and families to ensure readiness for procedures.

Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center GW Health is the first new full-service hospital in Washington, DC in more than 20 years, integrating clinical care with existing community providers, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC’s), The George Washington University Hospital, and our Urgent Care Center in Ward 8. This full-service hospital includes 136 beds (with the ability to expand to 184 beds), a verified trauma center, adult and pediatric emergency departments, maternal health and newborn delivery, an ambulatory pavilion for clinic visits and other outpatient services, a 500-car garage, and a helipad for emergency transport.

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse - Pre-Admission Testing (PRN-Days)

Requirements

• DC RN License required
• Bachelor's degreee in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in pre-admission testing, perioperative nursing or related field
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred
