Job summary

Cooper Norcross Health in Camden, NJ is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Surgical Care/Pre-Admission Testing teams in the hospital setting. Short Description

The Registered RN is a professional care-giver who, as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team, assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for adesignated time frame and who supervises and provides care to these patients utilizing the nursing process including the therapeutic use of self.

Overview

TheSurgical Care Unit (SCU), Short Procedure Unit (SPU), Same Day Surgery (SDS) and Pre-Admission Testing (PAT)are in Camden at the hospital on the second, third and fifth floors. First Pre-Admission Testing,locatedin 3Coopercalls to review a patient’s health information prior to a surgical procedure. Once approval for the recommended surgical procedure isfinalizedand patient information isreviewedthe patient is provided with information on when and where to report.Once arrived andregisteredthe patient is escorted to theappropriate locationto be prepped for surgical procedure. They review medical history, medicalproceduresand place an IV. Patients are met by Anesthesia and their Surgeon. Once everything is reviewed andverifiedthe patient then goes to the OR.

Experience Required

• Requires 2 Years Acute Care Experience (Med Surg, ICU, ER, etc.); Pre Admission Testing Experience Preferred

• Graduate of NLN accredited School of Nursing

License/Certification Requirements

• Current NJ- RN License (Registered Nurse)
