Job summary

The Valley Hospital in Paramus, NJ is seeking a compassionate patient care professional to join our night shift team. You will provide care to patients across ages, assist with lifting and transfers, and collaborate with physicians, rehab, respiratory, and support staff to plan and document care.

Responsibilities include accurate documentation, strong communication, and adapting to changing patient needs in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Position Summary

Provide patient care to patients of diverse age groups, their family members, and the community while complying with licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements.

• Adapt to changing patient needs and work environments.

Schedule

7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, rotating weekends and holidays.

Physical & Cognitive Requirements

• Full range of body motion: stretching, bending, lifting, sitting, kneeling, stooping, standing, walking, pushing, pulling.
• Exerting loads up to 100 pounds occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, and 20 pounds constantly.
• Manual and finger dexterity, hand‑eye coordination, constant speaking and listening in English.
• Strong written and oral communication, deductive and inductive reasoning.
• Considerable walking, standing, sitting, reaching, filing, typing, photocopying.
• Maintain accuracy and attention to detail while handling stressful situations.
• Time‑management skills to set priorities and deliver care efficiently.

Salary

Pay Range: $47.80 – $59.75 per hour. Salary varies based on experience, education, and licensure.
