We commonly tend to patients that are post op for elective joint replacement procedures, colectomy, colostomy, gall bladder removal, appendix removal, amputations, fractures, mastectomy, bladder tumor and more. We also have medical overflow patients. Working on the surgical floor is hard but rewarding work. Maintaining accurate intake / output and encouraging early ambulation is essential to the post op patient. Following strict infection prevention measures is needed to provide the best care for those who need us.
