Job summary

CentraCare Health invites applications for a full-time PACU Registered Nurse at St. Cloud Hospital. You will work in a fast-paced PACU, assisting before and after surgeries, ensuring patients are stable and ready for discharge or transfer.

Requirements include MN RN licensure, BSN within three years, and active BLS; ACLS and PALS within 12 months. Competitive pay, bonuses, and relocation options are offered.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Care for patients in PACU before and after surgery.
• Monitor patients waking from anesthesia and ensure stability.
• Collaborate with surgeons and anesthesiologists during recovery.
• Provide patient safety, prepare for discharge or transfer.
• Participate in rotating schedule including evenings and weekends.

Job description

Days/Evenings, various start times, occasional night call, approximately every 8th weekend, approximately 2 holidays per year
In the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at the St. Cloud Hospital, you will work with patients of all ages before and after surgeries. RNs may work in the pre-op area ensuring a patient is prepped for surgery and safe to go to the operating room. After surgery, the RN will work with surgeons and anesthesiologists as the patient wakes up to ensure they are stable before being discharged or brought back to their hospital room. In this fast-paced environment you will need to think on your feet along with being flexible and adaptable.

Schedule

• Full-time | 72 hours every two weeks | St. Cloud Hospital
• Monday- Friday | Day/evenings | 8-and 12-hr shifts | Various start times throughout the day | approximately every 8th weekend
• approximately 2 holidays per year
• Occasional night call

Pay and Benefits

• Pay based on experience and degree
  • Associate/Diploma in nursing starting at $42.86 per hour
  • Bachelor’s in nursing starting at $44.34 per hour
  • Master’s in nursing starting at $45.82 per hour
  • Pay range: $42.86 - $71.51 per hour

Qualifications

• Graduate from a nursing program and current RN licensure in MN required
• BSN required within three years of hire
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Healthcare Provider card required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certificates required within 12 months of hire
• Previous experience in ICU, CCU, or PACU settings preferred
• Critical care experience in Hemodynamic monitoring and Basic EKG interpretation preferred

To be eligible for the relocation assistance, you must accept a full time or part time benefited position and may not have worked for CentraCare in the last 9 months. You must currently reside more than 50 miles away fromthe St. Cloud Hospital andrelocate to within 30 miles of it with 120 days of employment.
