Registered Nurse in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit at St. Cloud Hospital in Saint Cloud, MN.

In the PACU you will care for patients before and after surgery, assist in pre-op prep and waking patients, and work with surgeons and anesthesiologists to ensure patient safety as they wake and are discharged or returned to their unit. The schedule is full-time (72 hours every two weeks), with day/evening shifts, occasional night call, and some holidays.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a nursing program and MN RN licensure.
• BSN required within three years of hire.
• Current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider card required.
• ACLS and PALS certifications required within 12 months of hire.
• Previous ICU/CCU/PACU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in PACU before and after surgery, monitor patients as they wake.
• Collaborate with surgeons and anesthesiologists to ensure patient safety.
• Assist in pre-op preparation and discharge planning.
• Maintain patient records and ensure compliance with hospital policies.

Job Description

In the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at the St. Cloud Hospital, you will work with patients of all ages before and after surgeries. RNs may work in the pre-op area ensuring a patient is prepped for surgery and safe to go to the operating room. After surgery, the RN will work with surgeons and anesthesiologists as the patient wakes up to ensure they are stable before being discharged or brought back to their hospital room. In this fast-paced environment you will need to think on your feet along with being flexible and adaptable.

Schedule

• Full-time | 72 hours every two weeks | St. Cloud Hospital
• Monday- Friday | Day/evenings | 8-and 12-hr shifts | Various start times throughout the day | approximately every 8 th weekend
• approximately 2 holidays per year
• Occasional night call

Pay and Benefits

• Pay based on experience and degree
  • Associate/Diploma in nursing starting at $42.86 per hour
  • Bachelor’s in nursing starting at $44.34 per hour
  • Master’s in nursing starting at $45.82 per hour
  • Pay range: $42.86 - $71.51 per hour

Qualifications

• Graduate from a nursing program and current RN licensure in MN required
• BSN required within three years of hire
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Healthcare Provider card required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required within 12 months of hire
• Previous experience in ICU, CCU, or PACU settings preferred
• Critical care experience in Hemodynamic monitoring and Basic EKG interpretation preferred

To be eligible for the relocation assistance, you must accept a full time or part time benefited position and may not have worked for CentraCare in the last 9 months. You must currently reside more than 50 miles away fromthe St. Cloud Hospital andrelocate to within 30 miles of it with 120 days of employment.
