Job summary

The Pearl of Downers Grove is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our dedicated team in Downers Grove, IL. The shift options include PM and NOC, with competitive wages and a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of nursing assistants and plan shift services and activities.
• Provide written and oral reports on shift activities; admit, transfer and discharge residents as needed; lead nursing staff.
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician.
• Maintain rapport with inter-departmental staff to ensure nursing services meet resident needs.
• Monitor staff to ensure compliance with safety regulations in equipment and supplies.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident care information including PHI.

Shifts:

PM: 3:00 - 11:00

NOC: 11:00 - 7:30

Responsibilities for Registered Nurse (RN):

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants. Meet with your assigned nursing staff, as well as support personnel, in planning the shift’s services, programs and activities.

• Make written & oral reports/recommendations concerning the activities of the shift as required. Admit, transfer and discharge residents as required. Provide leadership to nursing personnel assigned to your unit/shift.

• Prepare & administer medications as ordered by the physician.

• Develop & maintain a good working rapport with inter‑departmental personnel, as well as other departments within the facility to ensure that nursing services and activities can be adequately maintained to meet the needs of the residents.

• Monitor your assigned personnel to ensure that they are following established safety regulations in the use of equipment and supplies.

• Maintain confidentiality of all resident care information including protected health information.

Qualifications for Registered Nurse (RN):

• Current Illinois Nursing License (Required)

• Current CPR certification (Preferred)
