Job summary

HCA Florida JFK Hospital in Atlantis, FL is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for PICC line care. You will assess patient condition, perform procedures as ordered, document care in the medical record, and monitor patient response to medications.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, FL RN license or compact licensure, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications, and at least one year in acute care with PICC line experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current Florida RN license or compact licensure.
• BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications required.

Job Summary And Qualifications

What you will do in this role:

• Assess patient condition during each procedure, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
• Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
• Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Perform the administration of prescribed medications and monitors response.
• Maintain a knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of patients with PICC lines.

What you will need in this role:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Current State of Florida Registered RN License, or
• Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS Certification via American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• A minimum of one year acute care hospital RN experience
• PICC Line experience
