As a PreOp/PACU RN, You Will
  • Perform plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care.
  • Document patient care given.
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
  • Coordinate patient care across disciplines, including transfer, discharge, referral, and psychosocial support.
  • Evaluate learning needs of patients and families, providing education throughout the perioperative process.
  • Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
  • Assess and care for surgical patients during preadmission, surgery, and post-operative phases.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Associates Degree in Nursing, required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, preferred
  • Current RN license to practice in KY
Required Skills

Critical thinking, decisive judgment, ability to work independently, and stress management skills.

Certifications
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) – within 10 days of hire
  • ACLS – within six months of hire
  • PALS – within six months of hire
Licenses

Registered Nurse license in Kentucky or Compact license required.
