Summerlin Hospital seeks a qualified Registered Nurse to provide safe, compassionate care in a busy hospital setting. You will lead and support clinical teams, adhering to patient-centered care principles and facility policies.

The role requires an active RN license (Nevada), current BLS, ACLS, and appropriate pediatric/neonatal certifications as dictated by department needs.

Responsibilities

Summerlin Hospital is a 496-bed hospital featuring emergency services; a busy maternity department with an average of 450 deliveries per month; a Children’s Medical Center with an NICU, a pediatric ICU and separate pediatric ER; advanced cardiovascular care, surgical services, women’s health, and oncology care. Summerlin Hospital is an accredited Chest Pain with PCI facility and a Primary Stroke Center and has received multiple awards from the American Heart Association Get with the Guidelines program.

Job Description

Provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. Provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care. Oversees and guides employees that are under his/her supervision. Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times.

Qualifications

Job Requirements

Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing and completion of a Specialty course/ or equivalent within 6 months of hire. BSN preferred.

Experience: One-year acute care experience or successful completion of an approved specialty course within 6 months of hire.

License/Certification: Current RN license in the State of Nevada. Current BLS Certification. Current ACLS Certification (adult patients), current PALS Certification (pediatric patients) or current NRP Certification (Neonatal patients) as required by department. Other certification as may be required by facility, specialty, or department.

Other: Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.

Note: An RN graduate is a nurse who has completed a course of study at a school of nursing and is eligible for the NCLEX. The RN graduate performs directly under the supervision of the Charge Nurse or RN designee. The Nevada State Board of Nursing must grant an interim RN license.
