NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn, a full-service teaching hospital and Level I trauma center located in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Interventional Suite. Join a team committed to excellence in patient care, education, and research.

Position Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing nursing care to a designated group of patients, utilizing the nursing process in collaboration with the healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Perform duties aligned with the organization’s mission and values.
  2. Maintain personal accountability for professional practice and growth.
  3. Accurately document patient assessments, progress, and all required records.
  4. Promote patient safety and quality, adhering to the National Patient Safety Goals.
  5. Communicate effectively with the healthcare team, escalating issues appropriately.
  6. Establish caring relationships with patients, families, and staff.
  7. Administer medications and parenteral therapies per policy, including blood products.
  8. Prioritize patient care, using critical thinking and appropriate delegation.
  9. Provide patient and family education, assist with discharge planning, considering patient readiness and barriers.
  10. Deliver nursing care based on physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and age-related criteria.
Minimum Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited nursing program, NYS Registered Nurse License, BLS certification through the American Heart Association.

Required Licenses and Certifications:
  • Registered Nurse License - NYS
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least 2 years of experience in Interventional Radiology and/or Cath Lab
  • ACLS certification
  • CCRN certification (preferred)
