Job summary

Youth Consultation Service (YCS) seeks a qualified Registered Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team serving youth and adults with psychiatric and medical needs at Monmouth County sites. This per-diem role requires NJ RN license and CPR/AED certification.

You will provide medical care, promote health maintenance, arrange appointments, and support immunization records, collaborating with psychiatrists, BCBAs and residential staff within YCS's continuum of care.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license and CPR/AED certification.
• At least 1 year of nursing experience.
• Experience with youth/adults with psychiatric and medical issues is a plus.
• DDd certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Meet with Site Administrator to review day's assignments.
• Provide medical care, promote health maintenance and health education to clients.
• Arrange and/or accompany clients to medical appointments and follow-up screenings within 2 weeks.
• Administer immunizations as required by New Jersey State Law and maintain immunization records.
• Supervise ordering, storage of medications and first aid supplies.

Job description

Our Nurse will become a part of our multidisciplinary team (Psychiatrist, Board Certified Behavior Analyst, Residential Counselors) that provide an array of therapeutic services to individuals in our care. We provide the highest quality of care and have a commitment to the professional growth and clinical development of our team members.

This position reports to our Director of Nursing covering our two programs located in Monmouth County.

Primary Responsibilities

• Responsible for providing coverage as the nurse within our group/ residential site.
• Meet with Site Administrator of designed to review day's assignments.
• Provide medical care, promote health maintenance and health education to clients.
• Arranges and/or accompanies (if applicable) client on medical appointments and follow-up screenings in a timely manner (within 2 weeks).
• Administers immunizations as required by New Jersey State Law. Maintains immunization records.
• Responsible for supervising the ordering, controlling, storage of medications and first aid supplies.

Requirements

Active New Jersey RN License and CPR/AED certification and at least one year of nursing experience. Experience working with youth and adults with psychiatric and medical issues and developmental disabilities a plus. Bachelors and DDD certification also a plus.
