Job summary

Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin, GA is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Pediatric department. You will assess, plan, implement, and coordinate a patient care plan as part of a collaborative interdependent team.

You will manage flow of pediatric patients, educate families on medications, maintain records, administer medications, and support admissions and exams. Join a community-focused hospital with strong patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must have Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of employment start date.
• PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 60 months of employment start date.
• Registered Nurse with a diploma/degree.
• Bachelor's or Associate Degree in nursing or related field.

Responsibilities

• Assess, evaluate, plan, implement and coordinate patient care.
• Ensure efficient flow of pediatric patients including screening and admissions.
• Instruct patients and families on medications and treatment instructions.
• Maintain and review patient records and post test results.
• Administer medications per physician orders.
• Maintain daily room readiness and respond to inquiries or triage calls.

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Registered Nurse in the Pediatric department, you will be responsible for assessing, evaluating, planning, implementing, and coordinating a treatment plan and achieving the goals of the nursing department. You serve as a key position of the interdependent team, and hold responsibility for achieving positive patient and department outcomes.

What you will do in this role:

• You will manage efficient flow of patients including screening, preparation for exam, providing general nursing care, and arranging or testing and admissions
• You will instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions
• You will maintain and review patients' records including posting tests and examination results
• You will administer medications in accordance with physician orders
• You will check rooms daily for necessary supplies
• You will respond to and refer incoming telephone calls (may include phone triage when needed)

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date
• Registered Nurse
• Bachelors Degree, or Associate Degree
