Job summary

Texas Health Resources is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the PCU at our Fort Worth facility. This full-time evening shift (7p–7a) offers a 36-hour work week in a Magnet, Level III Trauma Center with stroke/neuro designation.

The unit emphasizes nursing education, leadership growth, and self-scheduling to support work-life balance while delivering high-quality patient care in a telemetry environment.

Qualifications

• Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing on hire.
• BCLS certifications required prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly.
• ACLS training within 90 days of hire.
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) training within 90 days of hire.
• NIHSS training within 90 days of hire.
• 1 year RN experience or completion of RN residency program.
• PCU/Tele and/or Med/Surg experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients using the Nursing Process.
• Assess the patient.
• Plan the patient’s care.
• Intervene as appropriate.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.
• Incorporate age-specific safety and infection control into care.
• Initiate information-sharing with patients and families.
• Maintain continuity of patient care across shifts and transfers.

Work hours: Full-time, 36 hours weekly, 3-12 hours shifts, 7p – 7a shift

Here’s What You Need

• Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
• Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire
