Job summary

Texas Health Resources is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Cardiac PCU at Texas Health Southwest in Fort Worth, nights. This full-time position covers 36 hours weekly with 3-12 hour shifts and self-scheduling in a Magnet facility.

Join a 36-bed Cardiac PCU with a 1:4 nurse/patient ratio, providing telemetry and post-acute cardiac care. The unit is part of a Level III Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center with strong growth opportunities and a focus on safe, evidence-based practice.

Qualifications

• Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Current RN licensure upon hire.
• CLIAFE foreign education equivalency required.
• BCLS certification prior to independent patient care; maintained quarterly.
• ACLS within 90 days of hire.
• CPI training within 90 days of hire.
• 1 year RN experience or completion of an RN residency program required.
• PCU/Tele and Med/Surg experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients using the Nursing Process.
• Assesses the patient.
• Plans the care of the patient.
• Intervenes as appropriate.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions.
• Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others’ need for information.

Work hours: Full-time, 36 hours weekly, 3-12 hours shifts, Night shift.

Here’s What You Need

• Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
• Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire
• CLIAFE - Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency Req
• BCLS – prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly
• ACLS – within 90 days of hire
• CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training – within 90 days of hire
• 1-year experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program required
• PCU/Tele and Med/Surg experience preferred
