Texas Health Mansfield is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team for day shifts in an acute care setting. The role involves assessing patients, coordinating care, and ensuring safe handoffs, with a focus on evidence-based practice and patient education.

Qualified candidates hold an Associate's Degree in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred), have an active RN license, BLS, and 1+ year of acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Participates in peer interviewing and review processes.
• Considers safety, effectiveness, cost, and impact on practice in nursing delivery.
• Collects comprehensive data for patient health and unit process improvement.
• Performs initial patient assessments and initiates consults; identifies teaching and discharge needs.
• Maintains safe practices and regulatory compliance.
• Ensures safe, effective handoff communications and documentation.
• Communicates courteously with internal/external customers.
• Builds positive working relationships with other departments.
• Participates in hourly rounding using AIDET to improve outcomes.
