Job summary

Citadel Healthcare in Chicago seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The RN provides licensed nursing care, assesses, implements and evaluates care plans, and collaborates with physicians and CNAs to ensure quality resident care.

Responsibilities include administering medications, recording MAR, supervising CNAs, monitoring vitals, ensuring safety, and maintaining documentation; requires current RN license, CPR, and 1 year of LTC experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current CPR Certification required.
• Nursing Degree or diploma from an accredited College or University.
• Possess a current license to practice in the State as a Registered Nurse.
• 1 year of experience preferred.
• Long-Term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides licensed care to assigned residents as ordered by physician and in accordance with facility, federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations.
• Transcribes physician orders to MAR and care plans.
• Prepares and administers medications and performs treatments as ordered by the physician.
• Charts nurses notes reflecting care provided and resident response.
• Counts controlled drugs with another nurse at shift change and reports discrepancies.
• Admits, transfers and discharges residents to meet individual needs and safety.
• Maintains a safe environment and documents appropriately.
