Job summary

Cayuga Health, based in Ithaca, NY, is seeking a Registered Nurse to support physicians and mid-level providers with direct patient care and clinic workflow. The RN will assist with scheduling, triage, and patient education while adhering to NYS Nursing Practice Act standards.

The role requires NYS RN licensure, graduation from an accredited RN program, and BLS certification. Onsite schedule is Monday–Friday with a focus on high-quality, patient-centered care in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited RN program.
• Current NYS licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs professional nursing care in accordance with the New York State Nursing Practice Act.
• Carries out all assigned nursing procedures for the comfort and well‑being of patients.
• Takes and records patient’s vital signs.
• Performs triage for physicians/providers with regard to clinical questions, prescription refills, test results and other patient calls.
• Prepares patient’s record for visit and patient education, as directed by physician/provider.
• Maintains compliance regulations.
• Participates in scheduled team meetings to discuss roles, responsibilities, processes, and patient issues.
• Participates in quality improvement activities and committees, as requested.
• Provide care management by communicating with community agencies as appropriate.
• Works with all team members to achieve patient-centered care and quality care.
