Job summary
Grady Health System in Atlanta seeks a Registered Nurse to provide age-appropriate, culturally sensitive care and to coordinate continuous care across settings. The role emphasizes patient safety, education for patients and families, and effective communication within a multidisciplinary team.
Requirements include an Associate Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred), Georgia RN license, and BLS; ACLS is required for all listed areas.
Qualifications
- A minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing is required.
- A Bachelor of Science in Nursing is strongly preferred.
- One (1) or more years experience as a Registered Nurse required.
- Current Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse required.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) health care provider card required.
- ACLS Certification required for all listed areas (ICU/CCU, ECC, GI/Cath Lab, L&D, Intermediate Care, PACU).
Responsibilities
- Provide age-appropriate, culturally sensitive patient care.
- Coordinate care across settings and among caregivers.
- Educate patients and families about healthy practices and treatment modalities.
- Utilize the nursing process for assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Demonstrate advocacy, leadership, and teamwork in daily practice.
