Job summary

Merit Health in Arizona is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide patient-centered care through the nursing process. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, coordinate with physicians and the health team, and education patients and families.

Duties include administering medications, monitoring, supporting procedures, and participating in safety and quality initiatives. The ideal candidate has 0-2 years of clinical nursing experience, a current RN license, and BCLS; ACLS/PALS/NRP

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting required.
• Active RN license and Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver patient-centered care in accordance with policies and nursing process.
• Document assessments and report changes in condition to the care team.
• Administer medications and monitor for side effects.
• Assist physicians during procedures within competency.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatment plans, and discharge care.
• Maintain infection control practices and monitor equipment as needed.
