Job summary

Grady Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide age-appropriate, culturally sensitive care across settings. You will utilize the nursing process to plan and coordinate care, educate patients and families, and collaborate with a diverse care team.

The role requires a nursing license in Georgia, BLS, and ACLS where applicable; a BSN is preferred and 1+ year RN experience is required. Grady emphasizes leadership, advocacy, and continuous improvement in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing strongly preferred.
• 1+ years' experience as a Registered Nurse required.
• Current Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse required.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) health care provider card required.
• ACLS Certification required for all listed areas; New Graduates must obtain within 90 days of employment.
• Areas include: Critical Care, Emergency Care Center (ECC), GI/Cath Laboratory, Labor & Delivery, All Intermediate Care, Post Acute Care Unit (PACU).

Responsibilities

• Provides age-appropriate, culturally and ethnically sensitive care.
• Maintains a safe environment and educates patients and families about healthy practices and treatments.
• Coordinates care across settings and among caregivers; manages information and uses technology.
• Delivers care using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Roles include advocacy, performance improvement, leadership, problem solving, delegation, conflict resolution, and teamwork.
