Job summary

Vail Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the 38-bed Patient Care Unit (PCU) on a PRN pool basis in Vail, CO. You will deliver compassionate nursing care, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and support patients and families through a high-quality care experience.

The role requires PCU or Med-Surg nursing experience and a minimum Associate Degree in Nursing; BLS certification is required. Work three 12-hour shifts every six weeks, with PRN and night-shift differentials, and enjoy

Our nurses work within a unified staffing model, providing consistent patient assignments across day and night shifts while fostering teamwork and shared accountability. Supported by engaged leadership available 24/7, you’ll join a team dedicated to collaboration, excellence, and exceptional patient care.

Work just three 12-hour shifts every six weeks, including one night shift, while earning PRN and night shift differentials. Affordable PRN condo housing is available directly across the street from the hospital, making it easy to work while enjoying everything the Vail Valley has to offer.

About the opportunity:

This position assumes responsibility and accountability for providing nursing care for patients and their families. Assure expert, compassionate, individualized nursing care for patients and families is expected. They collaborate with providers, staff and other members of the team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
