Job summary

State-of-West-Virgini is seeking a registered nurse to provide direct patient care across acute, intermediate and long-term care settings. The role involves preventive and rehabilitative nursing interventions and may include leadership responsibilities on a nursing unit.

The position requires either an ADN or a diploma in nursing with one year of RN experience, or a BSN from an accredited four-year program, plus current West Virginia licensure or a temporary permit to practice.

Qualifications

Successful completion of an ADN from an accredited college or university or a diploma nursing program; plus one year of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience as a registered professional nurse.
OR BSN from an accredited four-year college or university.
Special Requirement: Current West Virginia license or temporary permit to practice as a registered professional nurse.

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care and preventive, habilitative or rehabilitative interventions in various care settings.
Work independently with other health professionals and may lead a nursing team of licensed and unlicensed personnel.
May serve as charge nurse or have shift responsibility for a nursing unit; travel may be required.
