Job summary

Virtua Health is hiring a part-time Registered Nurse to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. The RN will lead care delivery, delegate to the healthcare team, and ensure high-quality clinical practice in a hospital setting.

The role requires up to 24 hours weekly with day shifts. A NJ RN license and an Associate degree are required, with a Bachelor’s degree preferred. Benefits include medical, dental, and retirement plans. Salary is paid hourly.

Qualifications

• Required Experience: 0-1 years; 2-4 preferred.
• Education: Associate's degree required; Bachelor's preferred.
• Licensure: NJ RN License per policy.

Responsibilities

• Performs an assessment of the patient, leading to development, implementation and evaluation of a plan of care.
• Administers, monitors and documents therapeutic interventions and regimes.
• Participates in clinical decision-making.
• Educates patient and family/responsible party regarding disease, care needs, wellness and safety.
• Delegates and monitors care rendered by the nursing team.
• Participates in orientation, education and development of healthcare staff.
• Identifies and participates in performance improvement activities.
• Maintains professional and departmental competencies.
