American Valor Staffing is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the Sangamon County Jail in Springfield, IL. The role covers day shifts (9:00 am–9:30 pm) and involves direct patient care, medication administration, and triage within a correctional facility.

The ideal candidate holds an active RN license in Illinois and BLS certification, with strong documentation skills and knowledge of the RN scope of practice. Compliance with HIPAA and infection control is essential.

Responsabilités

• Assess, plan, and deliver nursing care to patients in a timely and accurate manner
• Administer prescribed medications, treatments and other tasks as ordered by the practitioner
• Provide emergency first aid care, when appropriate
• Check and record vital signs, peak flows, blood glucose checks and other diagnostics
• Triage intake screenings for necessity and priority at sick call
• Coordinate multiple medical services for diagnosis and treatment
• Maintain aseptic techniques and infection control precautions
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA practices
