Qualifications

Description:
Cardiovascular RN PT 0.5 with on call
  • Assesses learning needs, readiness to learn and actual or potential barriers to learning. Recognizes and integrates special needs and individualizes care. Assumes accountability for managing the delivery of patient care. Incorporates education into patient plan of care. Pre-post care.(i.e.: medication, equipment, food-drug interactions.)

  • Expert assessment skills and documents assessment/ reassessment, plan, emergent and non-emergent interventions and outcomes according to policy. Communicates and documents change in patient’s condition to all appropriate individuals and transfer of patient responsibility using SBAR as per policy. Participates in discharge planning.

  • Dependability for on-call. Responds effectively in an emergency situation so that the patients immediate needs are addressed.

  • Includes pain management and supportive care in the plan of care and documents outcomes of pain management as per policy.

  • Adheres to infection control standards specific to patient care.

  • Assures all emergency equipment is available and functional. Promotes and maintains a safe, clean and orderly environment.

  • Prepare for and maintain hemodynamic monitoring when the appropriate vascular lines are in place, including arterial and venous sheaths.

  • Communicates and documents change in patients condition to all appropriate individuals.

  • Proficient in BLS and ACLS Protocols.

  • Maintains competency in moderate sedation and stroke assessment as per hospital policy.

  • Monitor vital signs pre, intra, and post procedure according to policy. Responsible to ensure that all documentation is accurate and complete.

  • Participates in the department Performance Improvement Activities. Accountable to obtain information and report events to department manager or director.

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • BSN

  • PA RN License

  • BLS

  • ACLS

  • Trauma Certification preferred
