Job summary

Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic’s 11th Avenue Medical Center in Yakima, WA seeks a Part-Time Registered Nurse (0.4 FTE) to provide comprehensive patient care in a busy outpatient setting. The role supports providers, conducts assessments, and ensures smooth patient flow within EPIC electronic medical records.

Candidates should hold an active WA RN license with at least one year of outpatient experience and be prepared to complete BCLS within 90 days; ACLS/PALS are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or higher in Nursing.
• 1 year of outpatient RN experience preferred.
• Active WA RN license.
• NLC requirements: provide proof of primary state of residence; Washington license within 6 months of hire.
• BCLS within 90 days of hire; ACLS and PALS preferred.
• Spanish bilingual proficiency preferred (ALTA score 10).

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care through assessments, vital signs, health histories, phone triage, and documentation in the EMR.
• Support providers during diagnostic procedures and treatments, including IV starts, medication administration, and patient education.
• Collaborate with providers and care teams to develop and implement patient care plans, coordinate referrals, and ensure smooth patient flow.
• Maintain clinical quality and safety standards in alignment with JCAHO, HRSA, and YVFWC requirements.

Position Highlights:

• 0.4 FTE (16 hours per week)
• EMR system is EPIC
• $39.30-$48.14/hour DOE with the ability to go higher for highly experienced candidates
• Additional pay for your bilingual skills, paid on hours worked

What You’ll Do

• Provide comprehensive patient care through assessments, vital signs, health histories, phone triage, and documentation in the EMR
• Support providers during diagnostic procedures and treatments, including IV starts, medication administration, and patient education
• Collaborate with providers and care teams to develop and implement patient care plans, coordinate referrals, and ensure smooth patient flow
• Maintain clinical quality and safety standards in alignment with TJC, HRSA, and YVFWC requirements while performing additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Associate’s Degree or higher in Nursing
• 1 year of outpatient or clinical RN experience is preferred
• Active WA RN license
• Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC): If the RN holds a license from a participating NLC state, they must provide proof of primary state of residence and proof of completed suicide ‑ prevention training during the first week of onboarding. If relocating to Washington, the RN must obtain a Washington RN license within 6 months of hire and update their primary state of residence within 60 days of relocation.
• BCLS within 90 days of hire; ACLS and PALS preferred
• Spanish bilingual proficiency is preferred at a level 10
• This position is eligible for Bilingual Differential Compensation when an ALTA score of 10 is achieved
