Position: Day Surgery Registered Nurse (RN) (Part-Time)
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide direct and indirect patient care in the Day Surgery Unit and preoperative holding area.
- Perform comprehensive head-to-toe assessments across diverse patient populations, including pediatric and geriatric.
- Assess and manage patient pain, educating families on pain techniques.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on physician orders and patient condition.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, nursing staff, and patients, promptly responding to clinical changes.
- Address psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs, respecting patient dignity and involving families in care and discharge planning.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality, compassionate care.
Qualifications & Skills
- Current Nevada Registered Nurse Licensure.
- Valid ACLS and BLS certifications.
- Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to respond quickly and accurately to changing patient conditions.
